There are no set entry requirements for many jobs in this sector. However, there are career opportunities at many levels, with entry qualifications including appropriate NVQs/SVQs, City & Guilds awards, HNCs/HNDs, foundation degrees and degrees.
On-the-job training is widely available and may lead to vocational qualifications such as NVQs/SVQs. There may also be opportunities to attend short or part-time courses with external training providers. Some employers offer Apprenticeships.
